The Position :AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICReports to Maintenance Foreman.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing the maintenance / repair activites and evaluations for generators, motors, programmable logical controllers, electrical/ electronic control systems on the Terminal's equipment.
Participate in the replacement of diesel engines, motor and generator.
Service , repair , deploy, remove and stow away equipment as required.
Test equipment to ensure compliance with specification and safety standards.
Perform maintenance activities on a daily / weekly/ monthly basis.JOB PROFILE/ REQUIREMENT
Knowledge of Mechanical , Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Two (2) to four (4) years experience in maintenance and repairs activities and evaluations for relevant equipment and machinery.
working knowledge of techniques and methods employed in the maintenance of equipment and machines on the Terminal, including Straddle carriers , Road Heads, Forklift trucks, trailers and other associated equipment.
Sound knowledge of relevant mechanical/ pneumatic / electronic engineering systems which include hydraulic/ pneumatic/ electrical circuits, PLC and fault diagnostics systems, combustion / diesel engines and power transmission hydraulic.
Good knowledge of all equipment being lubricated, types of lubricants to be used and associated applications.
